The asbestos register your building needs, from surveyors who plan around your site.
Management surveys, refurbishment and demolition surveys and re-inspections for offices, warehouses, schools, mills and landlords across Greater Manchester and Lancashire. Removal only follows if the survey says it is needed.
- Surveys planned around operations and tenants
- Register and report your contractors can work from
- Removal only after the survey, via licensed contractors
If you manage the building, the duty to manage asbestos is yours.
For non-domestic buildings, the Control of Asbestos Regulations place a duty on whoever is responsible for maintenance or repair to find out whether asbestos is present, assess it and manage the risk. For most buildings built before 2000, that starts with a management survey and a written register.
Greater Manchester and Lancashire are full of exactly those buildings: mills, warehouses on industrial estates, 1960s and 1970s offices, schools and blocks of flats. A survey tells you what is there, where it is and how to manage it, and gives contractors the information they need before they start. Removal is a separate decision for the items that cannot be managed where they are.
What is an asbestos survey?Choose your type of building
Homes, flats and outbuildings
If your home was built before 2000, survey before the builders start. Loft conversions, extensions, new kitchens and garage roofs are the usual triggers. A survey tells you what is there, where, and whether it needs to be touched at all.
Offices, shops, schools and landlords
If you manage or maintain a non-domestic building, the duty to manage asbestos is yours. A management survey gives you the register, and a refurbishment survey protects the fit-out. Portfolio scheduling is available for agents and landlords.
Warehouses, factories and mills
Cement roofs, cladding, lagging and plant make older industrial buildings a priority. Surveys are planned around operations, with safe access to roofs and plant rooms, and a register your maintenance team can actually use.
Every type of asbestos survey
Four ways in, depending on whether the building is in use, about to be worked on, already surveyed, or you just need one answer.

An independent surveyor gets in touch
We pass your enquiry to a partner surveyor, who agrees the type of survey, a date and a price with you directly.
Survey and sampling
The surveyor inspects, photographs and samples suspect materials. Samples go to a laboratory for analysis.
You receive the report
A written report with an asbestos register, photographs, results and recommended actions. It is yours to keep.
Removal only if it is needed
If something has to come out, we can connect you with licensed removal contractors for a quote. You are free to use anyone.
Removal comes second, not first
If a survey finds asbestos that is damaged, in the way of planned works or cannot be managed safely where it is, we can connect you with licensed removal contractors across the North West. They quote for the scope the survey identified, so you can compare like with like and plan the programme.
- Survey results decide whether removal is needed
- Licensed contractors for licensed and notifiable work
- Request a removal quote on the same form
